Aaron is a pre-licensed psychotherapist in the process of working towards his state licensure for Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT). He graduated with his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary.
Aaron has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field in various capacities. He believes a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust, safety, and authenticity is what makes therapy effective.
He is passionate about walking alongside people of all ages and stages as they navigate the ups and downs of life, helping them become the best version of themselves. Aaron is especially excited to support adolescents and young adults become all they were created to be.
He utilizes a relational, client-centered, collaborative approach to support kids, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate difficulties including self-esteem, shame, anxiety, depression, intimacy, sexuality, co-dependency, communication struggles, addictions including pornography, sex, video games, and family of origin difficulties.
Aaron also enjoys helping clients connect the dots between their past experiences and their present struggles, helping them find freedom from patterns of thinking and behavior that no longer serve them.
He completed his clinical training at Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, gaining experience walking with those struggling with substance use.
Aaron’s work with clients is informed by Narrative Therapy, The Satir Model, Object Relations, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
He enjoys spending time with his wife of nine years and their four children. He also enjoys reading (especially biographies), running, biking, and being outside as much as possible.
