Amy has been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for the past 29 years. She is trained in EFT marriage therapy, EMDR for trauma, CBT and DBT for emotional regulation and coping skills. She is invested in helping people overcome emotional struggles and become increasingly steady in life. She wants to equip her clients to grow in their confidence in who they are and with what God has set before them to do. She loves to help couples navigate challenges in marriage and learn how to effectively communicate through conflict and not avoid it or become overwhelmed by it. She enjoys equipping parents to become confident in their parenting and strengthening relationships with their children.
She equips clients with anxiety and depression with tools, new ways of thinking, and truths. She is passionate about helping the Christian community. She works with young adults and adults. She has worked with many pastors, their families, ministry workers and missionaries to help strengthen them through challenging seasons of life and leadership.
Amy is kind, patient, gentle and honest. She believes in her clients so they can better see what they are capable of. Therapy is an amazing and courageous journey, and she has high regard for those on their path to healing.
Amy has been married for 30 years. She has three adult children and two grandchildren. She has recently returned to Minnesota, the state where she was born and raised. It feels great to be home!
