Anthony (Tony) Damiani holds a Clinical Counseling license through the state of Minnesota. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State where he studied Psychology and Counseling and earned his Master’s degree in clinical counseling from Bethel University.
Tony has been working in the mental health field in various capacities for almost 10 years and has experience working with a broad array of clients ranging from autism and special needs through African refugees suffering from traumatic stress. Tony’s counseling philosophy stems from his belief that the client is the expert on their own life and through a strong therapeutic alliance his role as therapist is to help steer, redirect, challenge and call out negative beliefs the client is struggling with. Additionally, he wants to help shine light into the darkness of the person’s life. Tony believes it is only from the strong therapeutic relationship that a person can truly be themselves and have a shared sense of trust that would allow for that type of effective change to occur. Tony’s desire is to truly understand his clients and the things they are struggling with so he can come alongside them to help them reach their goals.
Tony states, “I know that Jesus is the ‘Wonderful Counselor’ (Isaiah 9:6) and that all things are possible through Him. As the body of Christ, Jesus wants what’s best for us, but unfortunately all of us are broken in some way. My hope is that you will grow and be able to overcome the barriers in your life and ultimately see yourself the way God sees you.”
Tony feels called to work with male clients ranging from teenagers to adults suffering from challenges including but not limited to anxiety, stress, depression, issues with sexuality, pornography, anger, marriage difficulties, trauma, abuse, substance use, and issues with faith.
When Tony is not working at The Center for Hope and Healing he spends time with his wife of 12 years raising their six children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, BWCA trips, carpentry, gardening, and anything else outdoors.
Tony sees clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He accepts most major insurance plans. Please call our office to ask about your particular insurance coverage.
