Ashley Kieffer

Ashley is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota (LPCC). She graduated with her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bethel University. Ashley utilizes evidence-based treatments to address anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She has received training in inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), a targeted approach for OCD that focuses on how doubt is formed and maintained and also utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when clinically appropriate. Ashley works with individuals experiencing scrupulosity-a religious subtype of OCD-as well as other presentations of OCD.

Ashley has completed EMDRIA-approved training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a well-researched therapy used to address trauma, anxiety disorders, and depression. She also incorporates polyvagal theory into her work, providing psychoeducation to help clients better understand their nervous systems and how stress and safety show up in their bodies. From this foundation, Ashley equips clients with practical, usable tools they can apply both in and outside of sessions to support regulation, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Ashley’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, relational, and insight-oriented. She views therapy as a partnership, working alongside clients to make sense of their experiences while honoring the ways past relationships and experiences shape present patterns. She has a particular interest in helping clients understand their past in order to address current struggles and increase hope for the future.

For clients who desire it, Ashley thoughtfully integrates faith into the therapeutic process. She has particular expertise in integrating the Catholic faith into therapy in a way that is respectful, clinically grounded, and supportive of both psychological and spiritual well-being.

Ashley works with adolescents aged 14 and older through adulthood, including individuals in their 60s and beyond.
