Patti Olson

Patti is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Patti comes to the counseling field with a variety of experiences in both business and education. After nearly 20 years working as an accountant, she is following her desire to help people on their healing journeys.

Patti works with men, women and adolescents. She also desires to work with couples at all stages in their relationship and is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH counselor. Patti enjoys helping couples in high conflict. She utilizes principals from both John Gottman and Terry Real in working with couples.

Patti believes in working with clients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner understanding that we all have life struggles and have times when we need others to come alongside of us. Patti also values being able to integrate faith into the counseling process to the extent that a client is interested and comfortable. A special focus of Patti’s is working with individuals who are survivors of childhood abuse or trauma, understanding the difficulties these past traumas can cause in a person’s life. She also is knowledgeable in working with verbal and emotional abuse and understands the challenges these dynamics have in a relationships.

Patti is trained in EMDR and incorporates this in her work with clients. Her desire is for individuals and families to live a full life and develop healthy relationships.

Patti has five children, four grown and one still living at home.

Patti sees clients Monday through Thursday. Patti accepts most major insurance plans. Please call our office to ask about your particular insurance coverage.
